Sasha graduated Rutgers University in May of 2018 with a BA in Political Science. She has dedicated her career to fostering success in children and adolescents through their education, as well as supporting individuals recovering from substance abuse. In addition to her time as a Montessori preschool teacher and middle school English tutor, she has involved herself in Social Emotional Learning curriculum research and implementation in urban schools. Through her community outreach on behalf of the Safe Coalition and Open Door Recovery Center, she is able to bring the education, support, empowerment, and resources needed to build a strong and substance-free community. She firmly believes in the power of tuning into emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and self-esteem through creative expression. She nurtures her own emotional intelligence through watercolor painting, guitar, exercise, poetry, and literature.
