John Gross has 15 years’ experience as a therapist having been trained at the Hazelden /Betty ford Foundation where he studied Cognitive Behavior Therapy, 12 Step Facilitation and Motivational Interviewing while learning to treat the disease of addiction. He continued on with his education and training to obtain his license as a Professional Counselor and as an Approved Clinical Supervisor and more recently earned his Certification as a Trauma and Addictions Therapist as is also now an SAP for the Division of Transportation.
John is now a practicing psychoanalytical therapist with an existential approach. In treatment, he focuses in on lack of attachment and complex trauma as he believes that this is the source of most addiction and mental health disorders.
