CTTS
Director of Community Coalitions/Special Events
Jerri started her career at HPR in 2008 as the REBEL Coordinator for Hunterdon County. She helped establish and implement the Comprehensive Tobacco Free School Program in all 5 high schools. This was her first experience working directly on a community level change initiative collaborating with school administration, youth, Superintendents, Principals, SAC’s, and students to the State advisors who helped make this accomplishment a county wide success.
In 2009/2010 Jerri focused her efforts towards facilitating prevention programs in area middle schools and high schools, ranging from life skills, drug and alcohol prevention, cyber bullying. Additionally, she directed Taking Control of Your Health, and drug and alcohol abuse amongst our senior population. Also early in 2010, Jerri received certification as a Tobacco Treatment Specialist, which gave her the tools and techniques to coach and support tobacco users in their goal to quit their tobacco dependency.
Jerri has been very involved in the Safe Communities Coalition of Hunterdon and Somerset Counties since 2010. The Coalition’s Mission is to reduce UAD, Rx drugs across the lifespan, and illegal drugs through collaboration and community level change in Hunterdon and Somerset Counties. Through continued collaboration with community sectors they have implemented Private Property ordinances, permanent Rx boxes, created 2 documentaries and many more initiatives to reduce alcohol and substance abuse in Hunterdon/Somerset Counties.
Jerri has a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education.
